Music Project Information, past and present

SITTING PRETTY (August 2003-September 2006)

Role: Shared Lead/Rhythm guitar

Sitting Pretty are a 5-piece adult-orientated, middle-of-the-road rock band combining old-school and modern influences. Was my first band... and has always been the main one. We formed at the beginning of August 2003.
Released our debut EP "And Then You Fall" in October 2004 after various demo EPs - was a runaway success. The EP was reissued in May 2005 before Sitting Pretty's first LP, "Some Kind Of Phobia", was released in September 2005 to critical acclaim. Very busy band in terms of songwriting and rehearsals. Our 2nd EP, "Through Everything", was released in May 2006.
A good live band, great songs, close-knit group of friends. Has had a revolving door in terms of guitarists and we swapped our original drummer but core lineup has stood firm. Hopefully will continue well into the future as strong as it currently is. Currently on long-term hiatus since September 2006, however SP made an appearance at the MAF Band Night at Liberton Kirk on November 18th 2006. A "Greatest Hits" compilation LP has been long in the pipeline however this has never materialised. The band have very little time nowadays and only make occasional reunion appearances at band nights every so often.

ANDY CHITTICK (Dec. 2006 - Present)

Role: Bass Guitar

A project with former drummer of Christian band "The Honeythieves" Andy Chittick, who happens to be a very talented singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist. John Skinner is providing electric guitar duties, along with my old mate Adam Dow (yes! That Adam Dow from Sitting Pretty fame) on drums. Have now chalked up a considerable number of gigs.

TRUGSCHLUSS (February 2005-July 2005)

Role: Lead/Rhythm guitar; Keyboards

A nice wee 3-piece 80's Hard Rock/Heavy Metal side project to Sitting Pretty. This was my intention, before I even joined SP, of having my own little band playing my own style of music. I eventually formed Trugschluss at the end of January 2005.
Trugschluss always had a somewhat difficult existance, what with a distinct lack of practices. The project is now dead and buried.
